We call ourselves Christians.
(Acts 11:26)
We believe in the Divine Nature of the Godhead Trinity consisting of God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit of the Lord.
(Acts 17:29, Romans 1:20, Colossians 2:9)
We believe Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, who through the crucifixion was the atoning sacrifice for the entirety of mankind’s sins, and after 3 days & 3 nights in the tomb He arose from the dead and after a brief time ascended to Heaven to prepare a place for us.
(1 Corinthians 15:1-8; John 3:16, Ephesians 4:8-10, 1 Peter 3:19)
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God as it is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. We believe that the Bible is given as the sole authority on matters of the church, salvation, and Christian living. That the Bible is fully sufficient… profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
(2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105)
We hold to the weekly gathering of Believers on the first day of the week (the Lord's Day/Sunday) for the purpose of teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread (communion), and prayer.
(Acts 2:42, Acts 20:7, Revelation 1:10, Hebrews 10:25, 1 Corinthians 16:1-2)
We believe that every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
(Romans 3:23)
We believe that the forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who choose to trust and abide in Christ as their Lord and Savior.
(John 3:16)
We believe those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized into Him for the forgiveness of their sins and the receiving of the Holy Spirit.
(Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; John 3:5; Luke 7:29, 1 Peter 3:21)
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and exists to evangelize the lost and edify the saved.
(Ephesians 4:1-16)
We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return to earth and reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords.
We believe in the future punishment of the wicked and the future reward of the righteous.
(Revelation 19:11-16, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
